EDLD 5364 Video and Multimedia Course
On this wiki you will find the projects I have worked on for EDLD 5363, Video and Multimedia.
It has been a long and fun five weeks. I have meet many new and interesting people and have learned alot about video editig and multimedia. We first started by organizing a group. I almost thought I was not going to get with a group. I enjoy working alone but I knew I had to find other people to work with.
We started working together by utilizing a wiki to brainstorm, then put informaiton on a powerpoint in google docs to edit. We used google chat a lot which go us started. It also made it easy to retrace our thoughts later and remember what was discussed. We then used google docs to take our powerpoint information into spreadsheet so that we can better see the whole pictrue and the flow of the video better. While on the spreadsheet, we could all edit and chat at the same time while the changes showed up in different colors. This was very helpful and fun. We tried saving pices of vidoe and audio on different web media like wikis, email, and mediafire. We settled into using www.mediafire.com for uploading our resources so that I could edit the video. Then after viewing the rough draft we saved our rough drafts to mediafire, another spreadsheet was added to fill in gaps and further edit.
While editing the video I had to do a time stretch for audio and vidoe in some sections to help tighten up the amount of time they took but yet the voices still sounded human and not chipmunkish. A lesson learned is that you don't have to speak slow for people to understand you on video. I also had to cut out dead audio so that we can save those split seconds. All those split seconds add up.
All in all working on this group project was a wonderful learning experience.
